Brand New Ornate Lotus Buddha Statue

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buddha Statues represent the “enlightened one”, the idol of the Buddhist religion. They are a symbol of Buddhism’s founder, Siddhartha Gautama, who preached that to attain Nirvana, a state without suffering, one must eliminate all craving from their life. This can only be done by pursuing the Buddhist eightfold path.
The primary role of Buddha statues is to convey the calm feelings that reflect ones proper mental discipline as having the control over the negative emotions of fear and greed. While Buddha Statues come in a wide variety of poses, the most common is the Buddha in Lotus Position. This is a position of meditation that symbolizes perfect balance of thought and tranquillity.
In this statue, the hand positions (known as mudras) have the fingers of the right hand resting lightly on the fingers of the left as they lay in the lap of Buddha. The legs are crossed in what is called the Lotus Position. The left foot is placed on the right thigh and the right foot is placed on the left thigh. Many Buddha statues sit on a pedestal in the form of a lotus blossom. The lotus represents the Buddha mind because, though growing in mire, it puts forth beautiful, immaculate flowers. Distinguishing features include extended earlobes from wearing heavy earrings in his early life as a prince, and a cranial bump signifying Buddha’s wisdom.
This gorgeous detailed statue is made of resin with different coloured mirrored stones on the shawl and intricate details and stones on the golden statue. Tradition has it that the power of the Buddha is at it strongest when given as a gift, and I cannot imagine a more timeless or tasteful present to give to someone you really care about. It is believed that placing the calming and tranquil Buddha figure in your home will help you achieve true inner peace and balance in your life.
Brand New, Stunning Ceramic Buddha
Statue
You don't need to be spiritual to appreciate the peace and tranquillity on this Buddha sculpture, and you don't need to have him in the room for long for that calm to rub off on you. According to ancient texts, on the eve of his enlightenment, the evil demon-god Mara (temptation) challenged Buddha. To defeat Mara, Buddha relinquished his status as a prince and all material possessions and thus became known as Shakyamuni Buddha. This beautiful ceramic sculpture depicts the Buddha in the Bhumisparsha mudra (a bodily posture or gesture) seated on an open Lotus, calling on the earth to witness his triumph over Mara.
Statues Calling the Earth to Witness are represented by Buddha’s right hand touching the ground in a gesture that symbolizes unshakable faith and resolution. The right hand, placed upon the right knee, and complemented by the left hand which is held in the lap (holding an alms bowl) symbolizes the union of method and wisdom.
Distinguishing features include extended earlobes from wearing heavy earrings in his early life as a prince, and a cranial bump signifying Buddha’s wisdom. It is believed that placing this Buddha figure in your home will help you achieve a sense of harmony, inner peace and balance.
Brand New, Hand Carved Wooden Buddha
You don't need to be spiritual to appreciate the peace and tranquillity on this Buddha sculpture, and you don't need to have him in the room for long for that calm to rub off on you. This finely hand-carved Buddha head statue in deep meditation is made from natural wood and imported from a cultural town in India.
Exhibiting profound symbols of an awakened life, the earlobes are elongated, partly to indicate the Buddha is all-hearing and partly as a reminder of the heavy earrings that weighed them down before prince Siddhartha (now known as Buddha) renounced material things to seek enlightenment. According to legend, Prince Siddhartha sheared off his long princely locks and from then on had a head of short, fine curls - not a common look in Asia and thus a distinguishing sign of the Buddha.
The "bump" (ushnisha) at the top of Buddha's head symbolizes his wisdom and openness as an enlightened being. His eyes are closed gently with a down-cast inner gaze indicating his deep absorption. Allow the timeless serenity imparted by this statue to grace your sacred space, altar or home and help you achieve your inner potential and true peace of mind.
